This lovely-looking app takes a leaf out of the iPhone’s book by adding animations behind the weather information. The current weather appears in the main screen, with the rest of the interface available for customisation as and when you need it. Simply tap and hold on any icon on the screen and you can drag the different items around to your personal needs. The RealFeel tool is a useful addition, as it shows the temperature you will actually feel rather than the recorded temperature. The Minute-cast option gives you a 2-hour forecast that shows not only when it will rain, but how much rain will fall. This perhaps isn’t as spookily accurate as Dark Sky, but it provides a great insight in supported locations. The only downside to the app is the inclusion of ads, but you can remove these, as well as add a 25-day forecast, with a single in-app purchase. Weather fans will unearth a ton of useful information held in the app, and with a great design and options to move the information you want to the top of the screen, AccuWeather offers the best of both worlds. Best of all it’s a free app and definitely well worth a look. • iPhone | iOS 7.0 | Freemium • Android | Varies | Freemium • check out istoryline.com for more free apps and reviews.
